 Omar
and Melanie Abderrahman had been long time Las Vegas residents
vacationing every year for the last 10 years together in
Brian Head and Cedar City. As Las Vegas continued to
expand and grow in the incredible pace that only Las Vegas
can muster, they made the life changing decision to leave
Las Vegas and reside in Cedar City.
In November of 2004, Omar just happened upon Sage Hills Retreat Center that
was for sale a few miles out of town. The Abderrahmans purchased their
new home and moved in June 2005.
Sage
Hills OM Ranch was created out of their love for the outdoors,
the serenity and beauty of Southern Utah, Melanie's compassion and dedication
to the practice of yoga and meditation, and their perserverance and vision
to create a sanctuary for all.
 The
Ranch offers the "Serenity" cottage, a beautiful, comfortably
furnished one bedroom cottage. In the cottage there
is always original art displayed from local and abroad artists. The
Abderrahmans are passionate about the arts, and the creative
and motivational energies that it can bring to the Spirit.
Omar has worked in show business for all of his life! He
grew up as a circus performer with his family, "The Wazzans". His
parents were circus performers and their parents and so on. He
has Show Biz in his blood! He now has his own company
- CPS, Creative Production Services and provides Production
Managment for artists, corporations, etc, traveling all around
the world and meeting and working with creative and powerful
people. He loves to be able to come home to the Ranch,
and have the quiet yet busy time as he is very busy with
expanding the buildings on the property. The Abderrhamans
have a vision of building a large barn that will house sleeping
quarters for up to 16 people and a large multi purpose room
for yoga, meditation, workshops, concerts, gatherings, etc..
Their projection is 2008 to have this completed and ready
to open the doors to a full-on retreat center of their own.
"Serenity" features: private
king bedroom, fully furnished kitchen with eat in space for
6, large bathroom, sitting room with queen futon for more
sleeping space and a daybed, wireless network, dish TV, private
garden that is fenced for your pet's protection and safety,
private spa (naturally treated), BBQ and outdoor seatiing,
covered parking, and access to miles of trails that are part
of the Three Peaks Recreation Area. They have bicycles and can
provide information for renting ATV's, etc..
 They are pet and family friendly as they
have 3 dogs, 4 kids, lots of birds that are great for birdwatching,
and plenty of jackrabbits, mule deer, wild turkeys, bald
and golden eagles, that are here for your enjoyment.
We also offer massage, on-site yoga and meditation with Melanie, and can create
any type of retreat for your personal needs. Therapeutic retreats are
so important for the body as well as the soul. It is very quiet here,
and to simply relieve yourself from the noise and bustle of the city can be
amazing, rejuvenating, and recharge your batteries, regain your own serenity
and balance.
